Genesis Miners

How to join

1. Mine on the testnet. On the pool or solo, as the mining guide shows. Use a transparent address (nm…) or a Sapling address (ntestsapling1…).
2. Join the Zecnero Discord and open #genesis-miners.
3. Run /verify with your address. Only you see the reply.

Pool miners: the bot gives you a short code. Mine to the pool for about a minute with the login <your address>.<code>, then run /verify again. The pool lists workers by name, so this shows the miner pointed at the address is yours.

Solo miners: once a block you mined pays your address, run /verify. The explorer shows who each block paid, but a block can’t show who owns an address, so the first member to verify an address gets it. The explorer can’t see Sapling addresses, so solo miners need a transparent nm… address.

Add private: True to /verify to appear as “Private miner” instead of your name. Run it again with the same address to switch.

Rules

• One address per Discord member, and one member per address.
• Admins remove entries that break the rules, such as an address someone else mined to, or one person with several accounts. The address is then free to verify again.
• Testnet coins have no value. Being on this list is not a payment and not a promise of one.
• Genesis Miners are in the Genesis Miner draw for 20 × 10 ZMR, and see the Mainnet date first, in #mainnet-date.

What is shown

For each Genesis Miner: the Discord display name at the time of verifying (or “Private miner”), the first 6 and last 4 characters of the address, the block where the address was first seen, and the date of verifying.

“First seen” is the lowest of: the first block the address mined, the first pool block it found, and the block of its first pool payout. With only pool shares, it is the chain’s height when the member verified.

After Mainnet

This page stays up after Mainnet launches, as the record of who mined the testnet first. The Genesis Miner role in Discord stays too.
